Finding Your Thirsty Crowd

Mark Joyner has come up with an entertaining and educational masterpiece… The Great Formula! It’s 243 pages explaining how you can create the maximum profit with minimal effort. It is a must read if you are involved with any kind of internet marketing.

Everything you need to know about selling can be summed up in 3 short steps:

1. Create an “Irresistible Offer”
2. Present it to a “Thirsty Crowd”
3. Give them a “Second Glass”

The Great formula works because it stresses simplicity and focuses on actions that get results. It’s so down to earth and straightforward that most folks just simply overlook it. In his book, Mark explains some of successful businesses–some you might already know about–and shows you how they used The Great Formula to great success.

The “Irresistible Offer” is one that may take some time to construct, but essentially is an offer that you would be a fool to reject. It will stand out and will turbocharge your customers to spread the word from person to person like a virus. It will answer the four “what’s in for me” questions.

1. What are you trying to sell me?
2. What is the cost?
3. Why should I believe you?
4. What’s in it for me?

If your “Irresistible Offer” can satisfy all four questions above and come out smelling like a rose…then you have created the irresistible offer. It’s like high-octane gasoline for your business that multiplies the effectiveness of everything else you are trying to do.

The thirsty crowd is the folks that want and need your product so much that they just can’t live without it. A good example of that would be if you are in the middle of a dessert and you just happen to have plenty of water that you can sell to the bus load of tourists that just got stranded in the middle of nowhere.

Suppose you created the irresistible offer and someone purchased it and landed on your Thank You page or download page. This is the classic example of the thirsty crowd. Don’t leave money lying on the table. You’re going to give them links to download the products that they just purchased, but why not give them the “Second Glass”. Make an offer to a related product that is priced so reasonably that they just can’t resist it.

There are four “Second Glass” delivery systems:
1. The Upsell
2. The cross-sell
3. The follow-up
4. The continuity

The Upsell
If you are selling a simple version of a product, they might be interested in a larger version. Or if they might pay $10 more for Master Resell Rights to the product they just purchased. Be careful and don’t abuse this approach.

The Cross-Sell
If you sell someone a car, wouldn’t they want to pay just a little more for an upscale sound system? If you are a dentist and do teeth cleaning, wouldn’t your customer want a teeth-whitening product? Cross sell products can increase your profits dramatically.

The follow-up
The follow-up sale is one that comes after either of the two systems above. It may be a day later or a year later. This is where list building and auto responder techniques come into play. If you have a list of confirmed buyers, they likely will purchase additional products from you in the future.

The continuity
Continuity products are those that are offered to your customer on a regular basis. Like a magazine subscription or a paid membership site that keeps producing income month after month. It’s, in essence, built-in, guaranteed repeat sales.

You can grab your own copy of The Great Formula and put it’s internet marketing techniques and principals to work for you in your online business.

Isn’t that the most asked question?

There are so many “NETPRENEURS” scrambling to make a “bunch of money” online with their own business ventures… Everyone wants to fire their boss in their J.O.B., and take up the challenge of working in the relative calm of their own home, being their own boss, and making pots of money!

Is this You?

Do you want to:

· Be your own boss?

· Live the ‘dream’ life?

· Put thousands of dollars in your bank account every day?

· Have the freedom to go on vacation, buy your dream home, all of those things that the online ‘gurus’ are offering you?

Did you buy into the dream?

If you did, I’m sorry…. I’m sorry about the empty promises you’ve heard, I’m sorry about all of the money you’ve felt compelled to spend on products that didn’t help you but certainly helped those you bought from. I’m sorry for the time that you’ve spent closeted away from your family, desperately looking for the next “BIG THING” that was GUARANTEED to make you hit the big time – finally… BUT,

You’re in the right place!

This article is designed to help you find the truth about all of the hype you read. I’m going to give you a few tips about how to read the writing on the wall of how a money-grabbing ‘guru’ can potentially part you from your hard-earned “Benjamins” – over and over again….

So, let’s get started.

v IF IT LOOKS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE THEN IT IS!!!

If someone offers you the world – guess what, it’s not theirs to give, so why would you buy anything from them?

v If the Ad that you are reading is full of red ink, and looks hyped up, then it probably is just that – hot air! So, if you get a headache just reading the ad, imagine what life would be like being mentored by the person who wrote it! Not too groovy of a picture is it?

v Take a good look at all the testimonials. I’ve seen the same picture of one guy on at least four different money-making ventures!!! Could it be that he’s actually the person trying to sell you something?

v Don’t be fooled into thinking that you can make millions of dollars by simply sitting at your computer for 15 mins a day, tweaking everything and you’ll be done until tomorrow. In the REAL WORLD, you’re going to have to spend more time than that every day just answering emails…. Sorry to be so blunt, but I live in the real world here! Don’t buy into these promises!

v If you find yourself believing what you’re reading, then check it out before you buy – you have nothing to lose – except maybe a little pride – if you find out that it’s a bunch of baloney. Far less than if you spend your rent money on a program that’s rubbish – how will you look at your kids again?

Please don’t be drawn in by the people who are promising you the world and giving you nothing except an empty wallet……

I can’t emphasize that enough. I’ve been doing this for a while now and I’ve made a list of the things you really need in this business.

Here we go…

ü TIME - for planning – plan how your biz will look

for investigating – look around for the best programs – choose wisely

for budgeting – watch your money – lots of good resources are free online, or you can get them cheap at Amazon.com or Ebay

for completing – don’t skip around, spend time on one project, complete it and then move on to the next. You only have so much energy, don’t waste it jumping from one thing to another – you’ll never finish anything, you’ll get confused about which thing belongs to what, you ruin your chances of making money.

ü MONEY – anyone who tells you that you can be successful in business without spending money is LYING to you! If you ditch your J.O.B. then you definitely need money on which to survive. I’ve not heard of anyone making money instantly, or even in the first couple of weeks – mainly because I don’t believe those who make the claims that they did! How can the whole world know about your website if you only launched it yesterday? Realistically it takes two or three months to even get listed in the big search engines like Google or Yahoo. There’s a whole science behind that process too – tell you in a bit.

ü EDUCATION – that’s a big word too. Plan to spend some time each day reading and learning about what you’re doing… This is a good-sized learning curve and you need time to absorb it. I used to get my brains full in an hour flat, then take some time off so I could relax my head and absorb all that I had read. There’s a lot of education to be had for free, so don’t spend money unless you absolutely have to!

ü A MENTOR – when you find a good one, you’ll have hit gold! You will find someone along the way who can help you to do stuff like website building, advertising, lead capturing, list-building, keyword hunting, search engine optimizing and all of the things that will inevitably lead you to the riches you yearn for! I’ve made a list of my trusted sources of information below, so you can go and take a look for yourself. Get to know what these people have to offer in the way of knowledge and sign up for it! They give away a lot of free info, and only charge you for the best tools out there. I’m not afraid to give these guys my money, because they have proven to be invaluable to me, and because they have a very calm way of educating you… They really educate you, no empty promises with these guys.

ü A POSITIVE ATTITUDE – you will be successful if you keep trying and have a really positive attitude! An excellent resource for me is “The Attractor Factor”. This book is how I stay positive every single day. You can download a copy from ebay for the simple price of $15 – ie not a bank-breaker! But the information and guidance inside is wonderful.

OK, so below I’ve given you a list of names of those I trust, and who have helped me to be where I am right now. They all have their specialty areas, just like in offline businesses, they have all cracked the code of making money online and they all have integrity – that’s why I associate myself with them.

Brad Callen – this guy is the winner, hands down, when it comes to Search Engine Optimization, and Keywords. He developed a couple of free courses on these topics. You can find them at:

For equally good software to get your website to the top of the search engine rankings really fast, go to:

Josh Jenkins – Josh is an Australian guy whose strength is in writing articles. He’s a tremendous resource when it comes to what to write, article submission, content – remember content is king! His website can be found at:

http://www.TopRankArticles.com

Jimmy Brown – for creating opt-in lists and generating a customer base, No-one writes better. Jimmy has TONS of information that he gives away, or sends in email courses that are easy to digest and apply.

http://www.ListAndTraffic.com

Stephanie Woolford-Bales – is an internet millionaire who spent tons of money on research and programming to become successful. She literally went from being homeless to her great success now. The key thing that she did was to really learn about marketing her products. She formed a joint venture with a company who give the most outstanding support and education you could ask for! They have a hugely successful business marketing system, and what she did was to combine her experiences with internet marketing as an individual with the success she has had with her joint venture and she wrote a book about it! She then went one step further and put the book out there for people to download – for free!

She wants people to really be successful. She knows exactly what it’s like to be where you are today!

Her book can be downloaded from:

http://www.your1stepriches.info

The company she has her joint venture with can be found at:

http://www.your1stepriches.com

These guys have the best marketing system on the web! No doubt!

Domain Names – whatever you decide to do online, you will inevitably need to have your own unique name for your websites. There are many places competing for your business, but two that I really like are:

http://movie.ws/profitdiva#ticket

http://cyberspaceregister.com

Money/Funding – many of you realize by now that you have to have a little money to make a lot of money! You also need to have some time to pursue your business interests. You have some options open to you but you still need to pay the mortgage, or your family will have a lot to say!

Your business is something that any H&R Block person will tell you is tax deductible, so you will be saving money one way, but what about capital to set it up? There is a really good resource here which can help finance your business or refer you to someone else who can. The good thing about this company is that you’re not waiting around for days to see if you’re approved. You have you answer within 72 hours. That’s why they call it a “snap loan”….

http://www.BusinessCashSolution.com

So, are we there yet? The good news is that it’s supremely possible for the average Joe to make money online. The resources I’ve included here will help you on your way, and there will be many more who will try to get in your way. Just focus on your goal and don’t give up!

All the very best of good fortune in your online endeavours!

Have you experienced the famine cycle of business lately? A client complained, “I get so frustrated with being overwhelmed with business one week and famished the next. The truth is many business professionals experience the ebb and flow of business when they first start out. Some never break out of this daunting cycle. Their businesses eventually fail for they never learn to balance the ebb and flow with consistent marketing.

A mentor friend advised me, “To create daily sales, you must market daily.” Here are five of those top ten things to include in your marketing plan. Include these, break the feast and famine cycle for good and start a perpetual boost in sales:

1. Put valuable free content on your website.

Seek to educate your audience. Help them make more money, cut costs or solve their problems. Examples include: online assessments, how to tips, short reports, resource lists, how-to tutorials, dictionary of terms in your field, etc.

2. Create systematic ways to attract traffic to your website.

Setup a marketing system that will attract visitors to your website. Write articles that create a link back to your site. Develop a newsletter to stay in regular contact with your prospects and customers. Offer free information to educate, entice and motivate your audience. Include your website url with a special offer to attract visitors systematically.

3. Automate keeping in touch with prospects and clients. Put a subscription form on your website.

Make a special offer or free gift to entice your prospects to sign-up. After building a list of prospects, you must follow-up with them on a regular basis to build credibility and relationship. You could create a message and put it on an auto responder. Send a message for every week with an offer for something valuable that will cost your audience little or nothing.

4. Expand your marketing collateral.

If you create a short report that your target audience will value (e.g. “How to Hunt the Hidden Treasure in Your Customer Files”), don’t stop there. Expand it to a different media and/or market. You could create a tele-seminar, short articles. Or use the information to re-purpose it for a different market: coaches, consultants, doctors.

5. Make marketing a habit. Marketing must become a habit not an interruption.

Make a calendar that specifies what marketing activities you will do, in what frequency and the deadline. This way, your marketing becomes a part of your regular routine and not an interruption of real work. Schedule all your marketing activities including: writing articles, advertising deadlines, traffic building, referral systems, speeches, tele-seminars, etc.

So how did your plan rate on a scale of 1-10? Seasoned business owners most likely already have their plan in place. Even so, no matter where your experience level is, you can balance your business profit cycles by including: valuable content on your site, a systematic way to drive traffic, automatically keeping in touch with prospects and clients, expanding marketing collateral, habitual marketing, a good referral system, automated billing system, templates of best practice business and marketing materials, soliciting previous customers and outsourcing your marketing services.

Sound overwhelming? Don’t worry. Even starting with 2 or 3 of these tasks will help stabilize your sales flow. Start now. Put these tips into practice one by one and break the feast and famine cycle for good. Give your sales a perpetual sales boost with consistent marketing. Go ahead. Market daily and prosper daily.
