Social Media Marketing has taken the Internet world by storm with sites like Twitter and Facebook. Today website owners are discovering the benefits of tying in their blogs to their social bookmarking sites to create even more exposure. Basically, the way this works, each time a post is made to your blog an instant tweet is created and sent to your Twitter account. Each of your followers will receive that tweet creating a “viral tweet” for your blog post. It gets even better.

In case you didn’t know, or you were vacationing on Mars, Twitter is a social bookmarking site that allows the user to create “micro posts” in 140 characters or less to whoever is part of your follower list. Twitter started out as a social media site that most users used to communicate to family and friends, though it is now being used by major corporations and major media outlets to communicate information quickly to their customers or viewers. The best thing about Twitter is you don’t need to be a major corporation to use it, in fact you don’t even need to be a business.

This where you, as a home business owner, come in. You can use Twitter to communicate to your followers sending them messages with all types of information. Of course you just can’t send tweet after tweet with sales pitches that will make you very unpopular and people will “unfollow” you. It’s much more subtle than that. That’s when you tie your blog up to your Twitter account, sending informational tweets on auto pilot each time a post is made on your blog.

How is this accomplished? It’s a really simple process so I can outline it here. First create your Twitter account and tie it’s theme to your blog’s theme. The next step is to install a special plug-in to your blog. Go to your plugin’s page and click the add a new plugin tab. Search for the “Twitter Tools” plugin, (Make sure it’s the free plugin from Alex King.) Install and activate it. You will need to set it up first by using the setting tab. You will now automatically create a tweet each time a post is created on your blog.

In effect each time a post is made everyone on your Twitter follower list is seeing the post with a url back to your blog. This is the true definition of viral marketing and it’s done for free, which puts it into the “organic traffic” category.

You can carry the automation a step further by also actively looking for Twitter accounts that are tweeting messages related to your niche that you can automatically follow. This is a bit more advanced and requires some intricate set up. You can get more information at our Twitter Resources website www.Twittasaurus.com

Each online advertiser knows that off page search engine optimization, or SEO, can be summarized in two words: link building.

Mainly, the extra pages there are in the internet which link back to your website, the more probabilities your internet site will have in incorporating prominently in search engine results sites.

This shouldn’t be presumed to denote that you need leave your link in just about every area in the World Wide Web, however.

Similar to every locality, there are poor locations and there are excellent places.

Web sites associated to a subject that is prohibited by Google, for instance, are regarded as bad locations.

Rather than enhancing your Forex Secret Indicator website’s link status, the opposite may happen. Also, online sites which are totally unrelated to the subject of your website will not warrant any importance when it comes to your link building campaigns.

On the other hand, online pages which have high page status are regarded as high-quality areas. It is probable that your website will enjoy a big spike in its own page status if its URL will be listed in superior ranking sites.

Why You need To Include Organic Traffic In Your Home Business Marketing

Creating a new home business site simply just isn’t what it used to be. There is so much competition that it’s almost impossible to get recognition. With that in mind, it’s necessary to utilize as many different types of methods as possible.

Let’s face facts we are in this for the money. Altruism is not the primary motivation to put a website on the Internet to provide information for the world. Albeit there are some that provide information for the sake of providing free information to others. I have just started to provide free information sites on a variety of topics that are near and dear to me, just for the sake of providing information to others. There is no monetary gain. For the most part though the majority of my websites are commercial in nature and are profitable. The majority of sites though are out there to turn a profit. I don’t think that profit is a dirty word either.

It is common knowledge that without traffic we have no business. Like any business, without any customers you will not have any sales. No sales, no money and no site. Traffic represents all the people that get a chance to see what you have to offer. The more people who see your products the more people there are to buy them.

Certainly no one implements a commercial website and does not expect to be profitable. It cost money to create a site, even if you do it yourself. The flow of traffic to your site gives you the opportunity to increase the chances for your success.

As the Internet has made the world a smaller place so have the lines of communicating with an international audience been enhanced. You can advertise your products on a worldwide scale and source customers thousands of miles away instantly. It really is the wave of the future of business, in my opinion.

Generating traffic however is not an easy task on the Internet. You have to contend with a great number of sites to generate decent traffic flow. However, if done successfully this opens up a plethora of possibilities. Of course one of those benefits is monetizing your traffic flow.

Therefore, to get to the core of it the creating more traffic you need to understand the types of traffic available.I break down traffic into two basic categories: Organic and Paid.

Let’s look at Organic traffic first, it’s homegrown so to speak. It’s the traffic that comes from non-paid sources. This is search engine traffic or link traffic from sites of which you have reciprocal links. Search engine traffic, although free, is a time consuming process for the patient and assiduous. Link traffic is an arduous task as well, but quite rewarding.

Paid traffic however, can produce targeted traffic as well and can be as fast as a few hours of a listing. The most popular paid traffic is pay per click ads. The largest PPC advertising comes from Google AdWords. Adwords can and will produce substantial views to your website, however it can get expensive. Yahoo Marketing also offers a similar product. Both products are primarily text type ads, although today you can specify text, image or video. A small percentage of today’s paid traffic is still in banner advertising but most of the banner ads are now part of the two major advertisers Google and Yahoo.

The most prudent way of getting started would not be to jump right into PPC advertising. Try the alternatives first.

There is some logic though, for using Pay Per Click advertising right away. First you will understand almost immediately if there is a demand for your product, if there is PPC traffic will pay off in spades. Do the math first and came up with some conservative estimates on clicks to conversion. Tip: If you have a good CTR (Click Through Rate but a lousy conversion rate you may need to tune up your sales page. Don’t waste money, if you are having a problem turn it off and re-think your strategy.

You can’t deny that Organic Traffic is most likely the best type of traffic to your site. You are accomplishing two major tasks, utilizing a cost effective means of creating views for your site and establishing your site as an authority site through the means of your keyword phrases.

At the end of the day you have to decide what you can afford to do and what is the best method for your niche and products.
